About

Farah Marklevits is a poet, professor, and tutor. She teaches and tutors at Augustana College in Rock Island, IL.

​

Her writing has appeared or is forthcoming in Michigan Quarterly Review, West Branch; PromptPress; Diagram; forklift, ohio; Literary MamaThe Carolina Quarterly; and other places. She has an M.F.A. from Syracuse University and an M.A.T. from University of Chicago. In 2014, her manuscript was a finalist for Milkweed's Lindquist and Vennum Poetry Prize and a semifinalist for the Crab Orchard First Book Prize.

She lives in Iowa with her family and commutes over the muddy muscle of the Mississippi River, on the best days by bicycle.
